I can not forget the men and women who have fought and served to make this country free. Some are still with us, but many more are not. Too many have been forgotten, and lie in unmarked graves on foreign soil. Some are honored by family and loved ones. All are to be remembered and loved and THANKED for the sacrifices they made! God bless them and all who miss them. Thank you, Vetrans, for your unselfish gift of service to this Great United States of America! We owe you a debt of gratitude that mere words can never espress!
Today I think of my dad... he wasn't a colonel or a general or anyone who got a lot of awards, but he served his country with every bit of his heart. He was in the Army during WWII and was a POW in Switzerland, during the German occupation. He then served in the Korean War, and later joined the Air Natiional Guard, while he also had his "day job". He loved this country and he was a wonderful example of a solidier, a husband and a father. I miss him today, and yet I know he looks on from Heaven and prays that our country will be strong and love God as he did. Thank you so much, Daddy! I love you always.
